StudentAid BC: what it means for students
What it means, who decides it and where to check the official source.

StudentAid BC is British Columbia's student aid service; it assesses applications from B.C. residents and explains the process on its own site.
In more detail
StudentAid BC is the provincial service for people who live in British Columbia and plan to study at an approved school. Applications and account updates are made through its website.
What a student can receive depends on the program's assessment of the application and on the school attended. Terms, forms and deadlines are set by the service and are published there.
A counselling firm can help you understand the steps and gather documents, but it does not decide aid or guarantee any result.
Who decides
StudentAid BC and the Government of British Columbia assess applications.
Where to check
What to ask a counsellor
- What should I gather before I begin a StudentAid BC application?
- Which questions are for the aid service and which are for my school?
Questions about a term?
Bring it to a free counselling session. We explain how schools and programs work and help you prepare questions. We do not give immigration advice.
